INOVYN (Ineos)

Transporting UK manufacturing worldwide

Gleeds has worked in partnership with INOVYN (INEOS) at Runcorn for over 30 years across a number of new build and maintenance projects.

Our team of dedicated consultants were responsible for managing the cost and contracts associated with Runcorn’s £5m a year shutdown and turnaround programme.

Efficiency savings of 80%

To minimise the amount of time taken to complete shutdowns - without impacting on safety or quality - Gleeds developed and deployed a specially engineered piece of software.

PACE helps plan, co-ordinate and manage the work packs required to deliver complex shutdowns and turnarounds. Use of this collaboration and planning tool resulted in an 80% improvement in planning at Runcorn.

Additional services

The Runcorn site also boasts one of the largest combined heat and power from waste power plant in Europe. During construction we provided planning and quantity surveying services for the enabling and infrastructure works.

The plant now converts up to 850,000 tonnes of refuse derived fuel (RDF) into renewable energy every year.
