Gleeds has a new opportunity for a CDM / Health and Safety Consultant to join our Health and Safety team based in the London office.
This opportunity would suit someone looking for a new challenge, where they can apply their knowledge and be involved in the growth and development of Gleeds Health and Safety Services.
-Manage and be accountable for service delivery on a wide portfolio of projects and to proactively manage client expectations.
-Provide support to clients in discharging their duties under CDM 2015.
-Carry out the duties of project health and safety advisor to the client and principal designer in accordance with CDM 2015 Regulations.
-To carry out the duties of general health and safety advisor in respect of the wider portfolio of health and safety services delivered by Gleeds Health and Safety Ltd.
-Delivery of services to an exemplary standard and fully compliant with statutory requirements and company QMS.
-Management of Workplace Health and Safety.
-Be actively involved in the development of services, business development and growth.
-Provide a professional approach in co-operating, communicating and coordinating by fully engaging with clients and project teams and be able to adequately interact at junior and senior levels.
-To present workshops and meetings and be confident when giving advice.
-Assist in the timely development, production and issue of relevant documents and reports.
You should have experience of the delivery of similar Health and Safety and CDM services and possess relevant professional qualifications.
We are seeking experienced candidates in the Construction sector with pre and post contract construction contract experience. This should include experience of working within a professional services environment.
Candidates should have the following;
- CMIOSH - preferable
- TechIOSH - essential
- IMaPS - preferable
- NEBOSH Dip OSH (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate - essential
- Construction qualification / construction professional - essential
- Appropriate CSCS Card - essential
Applicants should be fully conversant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and associated guidance and wider Health and Safety legislation.
You will be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure in complex situations, and be a good communicator - written and verbal, as well as possessing good planning and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
You should be computer and MS software package proficient and be able to produce good quality clear and concise documentation.Apply online
