Gleeds has been appointed to provide PMO and commercial services on a four-year framework for the Port of Dover (PoD).

Set to run until 2025, the programme will support the Port in maximising its assets to meet future demand with sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Stephen Lines, Gleeds Framework Lead, commented:

"Gleeds are providing support to PoD Programme Management Office (PMO) and commercial services department on this ambitious programme, deploying and gradually ramping up the size of its team of consultants as they work alongside the in-house team at PoD, supported by the other recent winners of this second-generation framework providing multi-functional support to PoD."

Stephen added, “Under the framework, with support from our offices in the Southeast, we will provide full PMO services whilst assisting in implementation of best practice policies and procedures across commercial and PMO functions. With such a vast asset portfolio PoD are looking to improve delivery by looking at programmes of work rather than individual projects bringing greater strategic planning, greater cost certainty and improved asset management.”

“This is an important opportunity for us to partner with a market leader in Cost and Project Controls to help enhance our project life cycle approach and upskill our own resource as we look ahead to the next exciting chapter for the Port of Dover. I am really looking forward to starting that journey”. Aron Walker Commercial Manager PMO & Strategic Management

Gleeds has previously supported major infrastructure frameworks and programmes for commercial and PMO services on projects such as Sellafield, the Peru Reconstruction programme, Southampton Port, HS2, and the NHS Estates and Technology Transformation Fund.
