Gleeds to work on £120 M government framework

International management and construction consultancy, Gleeds, will form part of a Montagu Evans led team appointed to the Estates Professional Services (EPS) Framework, managed by the Government Procurement Service (GPS). The firm will partner with Montagu Evans LLP Chartered Surveyors to provide building surveying, due diligence and estates strategy advice.

The framework is available to all public sector organisations covering a wide range of property-related services and is anticipated to generate up to £120m in fees across a four year period.

Richard Steer, Chairman of Gleeds Worldwide said: “The team’s appointment to the EPS Framework demonstrates that we have collectively satisfied the GPS’ extensive quality and best value criteria. Public sector bodies can now benefit from faster and more cost effective procurement of consultants, either by making direct appointments or by going out to tender amongst the ten successful organisations. Crucially, they can now avoid the lengthy and costly OJEU process”.

Steve Thomas, managing partner of Montagu Evans LLP, added: “We are delighted to be appointed to the EPS Framework. We have responded to the need for consultants to be more flexible in their approach by giving public sector organisations access to more than 1,000 professionals based in over 25 offices throughout the UK offering a nationwide service with local delivery that can be accessed through a single point-of-contact”.
