New Waverley (Phase 1)
Gleeds provided project and cost management, quality monitoring and health and safety services for this mixed use, regeneration scheme set in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Phase one of the scheme, consisting of two Whitbread hotels, was completed in April 2016.
Upon completion of phase two in 2018, the site will include 200,000ft² of Grade A office space, 63 residential apartments, 180 private rental apartments and 41 affordable housing units. Street level animation will be enhanced by the creation of 28 separate retail units set around a new public square at the heart of the development.
