Driving ahead with the construction of Peugeot’s HQ.

The global financial crisis hit as Gleeds was helping Peugeot build a new headquarters in Madrid, causing some to doubt the project would even continue.  

Despite the challenging economic conditions, our team ensured Las Tablas was finished on time, within budget, and to the high standards agreed from the start.

Steering delivery

The global financial crisis hit European car manufacturers hard as consumer spending all but evaporated. During this tough time, Gleeds’ project and cost management services proved more important than ever, helping make vital savings during the creation of:  

• A unique trapezoidal-shaped 9,200 m² 4-storey building
• Three underground levels for industrial use and parking
• A showroom offering 1,414m² for new cars plus 1,800 m² for used cars
• A 2,314 m² workshop with diagnostic tools and equipment for the 21st century

Providing directions

Our role as project manager didn’t end when structural work began. We also coordinated its implementation, helping with the office fit-out and the conditioning of the showroom, sales room and the mechanical workshops.
