Warsaw Spire

An inspiring landmark tower for Poland.

Gleeds is at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of funds for Poland’s 2011 architectural design of the year. The Warsaw Spire is set to be one of Poland’s highest and most innovative office and retail complexes.

Facilitating communication between the banks and borrower to make sure this distinctive office development is completed on time and on budget, Gleeds was responsible for providing an independent assessment of project risks, including cost, time and quality.

Ambitious plans

The Warsaw Spire, named after its 220m spiral tower, also includes two 55m side buildings and the first privately developed public square named Plac Europejski. The first phase of the complex was completed in September 2014.

One of Poland’s most innovative developments, it poses a number of challenges:

  • Busy, city centre location – next to one of the main arteries of the city
  • Large scale – over 104,000 m² including 5 underground parking levels
  • Close vicinity to existing buildings – which means using an advanced system of monitoring movement during construction

Expertise that delivers

The large scale of this project, its location and unique features make the Warsaw Spire a pioneering project for Poland. We’re using our experience to provide smooth financing and make advanced architecture and technical solutions a reality for Ghelamco and Belgian architect, Jaspers-Eyers.

We’re proud to be involved in creating one of Poland’s tallest buildings, as well as a public square that will become a focal point in Warsaw’s new business district.
