Gleeds awarded the Professional Services contract for Wakefield Council

We are delighted to have been awarded the Professional Services contract for Wakefield Council.

A team led by Gleeds’ Philip Thwaite and Kieran McManamon will be working to transform property services across the council through an embedded project management office (PMO). The team will provide the resources needed to deliver big infrastructure projects, like the ones in the Council’s capital programme, plus the specialist and support services needed for these types of projects, including: architectural design, project procurement, contract management, risk management, change management, stakeholder engagement and comms, reporting and strategic planning & scheduling.

Wakefield Council appointed two new partners to provide facilities management and property services. Infrastructure and support services firm Robertson were awarded the Facilities Management contract, working alongside Gleeds. 

Paul Mann, North England Regional Director for Gleeds, said, “We are proud to have been selected to handle Wakefield Council’s Professional Services functions for the next three years. Our work in partnership with central and local government agencies such as DfE, Homes England, and locally, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and North England will hold us in good stead. We will bring a focus on efficiencies and value for money property solutions as well as a significant commitment to social value for the local community. The new employees we welcome from the Council also mean we can combine vital local knowledge and experience with Gleeds’ global expertise and strength in depth.
